Job Overview

Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity in our Rehab Department for a part-time Speech Language Pathologist. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives.  Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.  

Responsibilities

  • The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) engages in the professional practice of communication and swallowing.
  • You will provide evaluations, treatment plans, education and training to meet the cognitive, communication and swallowing needs of our patients.
  • The primary role will be to work in a multidisciplinary environment and to provide intensive function-based therapy in the Rehabilitation Unit.
  • The successful candidate will get the opportunity to learn and grow in their practice by being exposed to orthopaedic, acute care, outpatient settings, and program development.

 

This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology 
  • Licensed in state of practice
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's) 

 

Preferred:

  • 1 year experience in a pediatric setting
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
