Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Physical Therapist to join our Rehab team.  The Physical Therapist position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.

 

This position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $104,000 to $112,320 per annum. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, compliant, and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
  • Works with the medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
  • Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
  • Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.

 

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. 

Certification/Licensure

licensed in state of practice

Skills

1 year physical therapy experience preferred

New graduates considered

Pediatric experience preferred
