Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Surgical Technologist.

The Surgical Tech prepares and assists surgical procedures during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process. This position is responsible for providing for and anticipating the surgeons’ needs during a procedure while maintaining the sterile field, adhering to principles of aseptic technique, and ensuring safety with all counted items. The Surgical Tech assists preparation for procedures by assisting with completion, wrapping, and processing of instruments in Sterile Processing.

Required:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program

Certified Surgical Technologist

BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of employment)  

Preferred: 

Minimum of one-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital operating room

Pediatric and/or orthopaedic experience

Other:
