Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Health Information Management (HIM) Clerk. 

Responsibilities

The Health Information Management Clerk performs various HIM functions and responsibilities including processing information for the Medical Home initiative, retrieving records from all treatment areas, prepping and scanning medical records into the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience

One year healthcare experience in medical records processing operation, physician office, business office and/or customer service

American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) credentialed, preferred

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) through AHIMA, preferred
