Job Overview

Shriners Children’s of Northern California provides specialty care for patients’ ages 0 -21.  Our specialties include Burns, Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, and Rehabilitation.  We care for patients from Northern California, other states and countries.  Social Workers are an integral part of our multidisciplinary team that provides family centered care for patients in both the inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (clinic) settings. 

 

The position is per diem, non exempt, health insurance eligible and no weekends. The LCSW pay range is $48.15 - $67.98/hour. Pay is determined based on experience and department equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Biopsychosocial assessment
  • Crisis intervention
  • Brief Suicide Screening Assessment
  • Participation in Multidisciplinary Rounds/Conferences
  • Patient and family support and education
  • Referrals to community based services
  • Discharge and transition planning

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • CA LCSW
  • Masters Degree in Social Work
  • CMC, ACM or ANCC (within 12 months of hire or eligibility)

Preferred:

  • Bilingual 
  • 3+ years pediatric healthcare experience
