Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team.

Responsibilities

The position of cook provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.

 

Practices Serve Safe Sanitation

  • Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.

Prepares Catering Functions and consistently maintains quality

  • Catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered

Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time

  • Patient meals are made according to their diet and are ready on time for tray line.

Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines

  • The temp of our food is at acceptable level according to or policy and procedure manual

  • Tally sheets are followed so that extra food is not left over after tray line.

Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu

  • Cafeteria males are done on time. There is sufficient backup so that the café does not run out of food.

Qualifications

Certification and Licensures
Food Handlers Card Required

ServSafe Food Safety Certificate Preferred

 

Experience

2 Years Institutional Cooking preferred

 

Other

COVID-19 Vaccination required.
