Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Medical Assistant in our Outpatient Clinic.  This position works Monday-Friday in our Philadelphia hospital.

Responsibilities

The Certified Medical Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, stocking supplies, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments and documentation in the electronic medical record.  The Medical Assistant works with and under the direction of the RN.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma / GED

 

Certification/Licensure

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 6 months of hire

 

Experience

Outpatient Clinic, Orthopaedic and cast background preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
