Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist (on-call) to join our team.

Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with abnormalities and deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system by prescription and under the supervision of a physician.  Duties include:

Orders
•Obtains physician's order 100% of the time prior to initiating therapy.
Patient Assessment
•Able to appropriately assess all patients before and after therapy is delivered 100% of the time. 
Routine Therapy
•Sets up all routine therapy modalities according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. 
Ventilator Therapy
•Able to set up and monitor all life support equipment according to policy and procedure 100% of the time. 
Outpatient Clinic
•Able to set up and perform EKG's on patients in a timely fashion. 
POCT
•Able to perform all POCT including controls, proficiencies and documentation. Maintain all State and Joint
Commission requirements for licensing and accreditation

Associate Respiratory Therapy Preferred

3 Years Respiratory care practitioner Preferred

1 Year Pediatric Critical Care Preferred

RT license in state of practice Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
