Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Medical Technologist to join our Galveston, Texas, Clinical Lab team.

The Medical Technologist analyzes and report lab values as part of the interdisciplinary care of our patients.  Diagnostic procedures performed may include chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis and phlebotomy.

Hours for this position are 32 hours per week - Monday - Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Required Education

• Bachelor of Medical Technology, CLS or Science required

Required Experience

• 1 year Clinical Laboratory required, new grads accepted.

Required Certifications/Licensures

• MLT (ASCP), CLS or Equivalent certification required
• Med. Tech license in state of practice required
