Job Overview

Shriners Children’s, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center, has an opportunity for a Radiology Technologist to join our team.

Responsibilities

Looking for an energetic compassionate technologist who is interested in working with the Children we serve.

Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Hold both the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification/registration and Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) state license. 

 

Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday

                 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Friday

 

Closed weekends and major holidays.

Observe nine holidays: New Year, Martin Luther King, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

Parking is at no cost to the employee.

Qualifications

Current full Covid-19 vaccination status required.

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, required.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required. 
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky cabinet for Human Resources, holding a General Radiation Operator Certificate, required. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association required
One year of clinical experience over and above that received in the educational program in radiography preferred.

Experience with intraoperative procedures and pediatric/orthopedics preferred.
Knowledgeable of the physical and psychosocial needs of age specific groups in the environment of care.
