Job Overview

System Motion Analysis Center (SMAC) Engineers report directly to the Corporate Director of MACs and provides oversight to operations, data, accreditations, projects, and MAC Engineers within their region. Occasional travel may be required.

 

The pay range for this position is $101,340-$152,010/annually. Compensation is determined based on relevent experience and department equity.

Responsibilities

  • Performs data collection, processing, and report generation to ensure continuity of local clinical service
  • Works with a multidisciplinary team within their region to design and implement individualized evaluations to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family
  • Responsible for the implementation of system-wide standards for data collection, management, storage and maintaining accreditation for MACs within their region
  • Functions as a leader by providing mentorship and education to MAC engineers, students and other professionals within their region
  • Leads and collaborates with MAC Development Specialist and SMAC Physical Therapists to develop special projects, performance improvement projects and research protocols
  • Works in cooperation with other region leaders, to offer exceptional care following the Shriners Hospitals for Children® FOCUSED©™ Program
  • Develops a standardized process and educational material for the technical on-boarding of MAC engineers, employees, students, residents and physicians to ensure competency

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • PhD
  • 5+ years of Motion Analysis modeling & coding
  • 5+ years of Clinical Motion Analysis

 

Required:

  • MS or PhD in related field
