Job Overview

Schedule: Mondays-Fridays 8a-4:30p (Full-time)

*No weekends, great work/life balance

 

This position provides exceptional care for our patients and guests by offering them professional service and creating a memorable patient experience. The incumbent accurately and professionally handles all desk operations including, but not limited to, all phases of the patient registration and scheduling process. They will also direct patients with financial obligations to the financial counselor. The core responsibilities of this role maximize efficiency through facilitating and ensuring the accuracy of the information flow between medical staff, and other various departments.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets and directs patients to their correct destinations both in person and over the phone. Anticipates the needs of the patients & guests then responds in an accurate & timely manner.
  • Schedules established patient appointments & contacts patients for rescheduling, missed appointments & appointment reminders.
  • Completes patient registration process by reviewing accounts & other compliance-related documents for completeness & accuracy. Obtains & documents missing information required for registration.
  • Monitors patient flow, adjusts workflows & notified the clinical staff of any pertinent information.
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, guests, back office & providers.

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and an ability and willingness to learn new applications and software, procedures and processes.
  • Ability to assimilate data from various sources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure that patient information is guarded and respected.
  • Ability to navigate a facility with multiple providers and services.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma/GED Required

 

Experience
1 Year Scheduling, registration and insurance verification preferred
1 Year Microsoft Office Applications preferred
1 Year Organizational skills required
1 Year Communication Skills required


Certification and Licensures
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required (must obtain within 60 days of hire)

(Pay range for this position is $16.34/hr - $24.51/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education).
