Job Overview

 

Under the operational direction of the Corporate Director of Telehealth and clinical supervision of the on-site Telehealth physician, the Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with corporate Telehealth and local Hospital team members, to ensure a seamless Telehealth clinic workflow.

 

The Telehealth Medical Assistant will serve as a local point of contact at the SHC Hospital, be responsible for the local site Telehealth operations and the local link between the SHC Hospital affiliate site and the Corporate Telehealth department.

 

This role will also assist the Regional Telehealth Coordinator in identifying potential Telehealth patients, and ensure policies and procedures are followed at the local SHC hospital.

This is a part-time, ON-SITE, 20 hours week-day position.  

Not a remote position.

 

Responsibilities

Under the clinical supervision of the Nurse Manager of the out-patient clinic, The Telehealth Certified Medical Assistant will assist in identifying potential telehealth patients, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
 
The Telehealth Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role is responsible for the local site Telehealth operations and serve as a local point of contact between the affiliate site and the Corporate Telehealth department
 
This role will also assist the Corporate Director of Telehealth and Regional Telehealth Coordinator, identifying potential telehealth patients. Will assist in Telehealth patient registration, scheduling, data tracking and reporting.
 
Also responsible for the processing of patient consent forms, satisfaction survey data. Provides technical support for Telehealth applications to providers and affiliate sites. Works closely with Revenue Cycle to ensue Telehealth encounters are properly coded and billed
 
 

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
 
Certification by the American Association for Medical Assistants required, along with two years plus Telehealth experience within a medical setting. Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office Applications is preferred.
 
Bi-lingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
