Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our Shreveport, Louisiana team.

Responsibilities

The Executive Assistant provides administrative support for the Clinic Director and Medical Director. The EA performas all administrative functions including transcription, letters/memos, administration policies and procedures, general office duties, and meeting minutes.   Competent knowledge of organizational operations, procedures, policies and personnel. Works independently to plan and organize office operations. Assist in the planning and preparation of any special events associated with the Clinic Director office.

 

Coordinates all administrative activities for assigned executive
•Ensure messages are delegated in a timely manner. Use proper etiquette
•Independently organizes meetings, appointments and events as needed
•Retrieve, circulate and respond to emails
•Maintain travel expenses reimbursement for assigned executive
•Type correspondence, transcribe dictation and meet deadlines
•Order office supplies

•Plans and coordinates all administrative, board and departmental meetings
•Records minutes for Board of Governors committees and meetings.  Maintains board files and mailing lists for board members.

•Assists in all phases of preparation, completion, and submission of annual budget requests

Qualifications

High School diploma required

Associates degree preferred

3 years of Executive Assistant experience required, hospital setting experience preferred
