Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Surgical Technolgist to join our team. This position would work Monday-Friday with minimal call annually. 

Responsibilities

The surgical technologist (ST) is an integral part of the surgical health care team and functions in the role of scrub person. The ST works under the supervision of the registered nurse and surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma / GED

 

Certification/Licensure

Certified Surgical Technologist preferred

CPR

 

Experience

Minimum 1 year experience with scrub experience required

Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures
