Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Sr. Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team.

 

To provide clinical laboratory services for inpatients and outpatients in a pediatric burn, orthopedic and rehabilitation hospital. To function as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to act as a resource to staff and the general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility.

 

This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $57.04 - $80.58/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of administrative and operational functions in support of the overall management of the clinical laboratory
  • Analyzes and reports all laboratory tests requested on patients within the scope of practice of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist
  • Performs quality control, operates instrumentation, and provides training within the scope of
    practice of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • CLS (Clinical Lab Scientist) 
  • Licensed to practice in State of California

Preferred:

  • 3 years Clinical Laboratory experience
  • 3 years of pediatric experience
