Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.  Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Responsibilities

  • The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. 
  • The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. 
  • Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. 
  • Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.

 

This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

 

Preferred:  

  • One year of pediatric experience
