Job Overview

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a part-time Respiratory Therapist.  In this role, you get the opportunity to participate in daily planning via patient rounds. You'll work as part of the interdisciplinary team for the plan of care for our patients. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives.  Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.  Hours:  This part-time, night shift position would work 2/12s and rotate every 3rd weekend.  

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's order
  • Communicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)
  • Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelines
  • Assures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas

Qualifications

Required

Associate Degree - Respiratory Therapy

RT license in state of practice

Certified Respiratory Therapist

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within six months)

 

Preferred

2 Years respiratory therapy experience in an ICU setting
2 Years pediatric experience

Registered Respiratory Therapist
