Responsibilities

  • The Nurse Manager provides leadership in working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. 
  • The Nurse Manager maintains clinical skills and acts as both a clinical leader and resource nurse, as well as, administrative leader, assuming 24-hour responsibility for the unit. 
  • This position will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing practice in an assigned department to ensure that safe and appropriate care is provided. 
  • The Nurse Manager will collaborate actively with medical, administrative, and interdisciplinary leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree (BSN)

Active RN license in state of practice

5 years’ experience as a nurse

3 years’ experience in a nursing leadership position

Critical care experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Preferred:

1 year of pediatric experience

1 year experience in clinical research

Burn and wound care experience

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
