Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab team.

 

This position is a Part Time, Exempt and Benefits Eligible.  The pay rang for this position is $43.21 - $54.00/ hourly.  Compensation is based on years of expeience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

  • The Occupational Staff Therapist Position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner. 
  • Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
  • Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy required.

Certification/Licensure

  • Licensed in State of practice
  • American Heart Association BLS required
  • PCS, OCS, NCS and CHT preferred

 

Skills

  • 1 year Occupational Therapy experience preferred
  • New graduates considered
  • Pediatric experience preferred
