Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Market Senior Accountant to join our team.

The Market Senior Accountant directs and coordinates the functions and activities of the Fiscal Service Departments in Lexington, KY and Greenville, SC. This position is responsible for the preparation of financial data according to GAAP and established hospital policies and procedures. This position will be located in Lexington, KY.

• Ensures G/L financial and reporting processes are compliant with SHC policy and follow GAAP standards..
• Prepares journal entries and reconciles all balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Oversees timely and accurate processing and tracking of donations and other Accounts Receivable as appropriate.
• Completes annual review of fixed assets and ensures inventories are maintained and accounted for in accordance with acceptable financial standards.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5 years Accounting/Payroll Management required
• 5 years Systems Computer proficiency required
• 5 years Microsoft Office required

Preferred:

• 6 months Supervisory Computerized Accounting preferred
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
