Job Overview

Shriners Children’s is looking for a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Radiologist to join our team at Shriners Children’s Chicago. This position requires successful fellowship training in pediatric radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading STAT and routine pediatric cases from both our inpatient and outpatient services.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiology services by reading and interpreting pediatric x-ray, ultrasound, CT, and dexa imaging in a timely manner. Average read volume is approximately 45 reads per day.
  • Communicate the results and diagnosis to physician
  • Directing radiology staff to perform diagnostic procedures on patients, as per physician orders
  • Work exclusively in pediatric imaging with no interventional responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school required.
  • Successful completion of a residency in diagnostic or general radiology required.
  • Board eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology with additional fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology required. Board eligible or certified in pediatric radiology highly preferred.
  • Must possess or be eligible for IL medical licensure, in addition to their state of residency.
