Job Overview

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to help our patient through their journey from the moment the child is brought through the door through the time the child leaves to go home.  You'll get to help our kids grow into the new person that they want to be.  You will provide evaluations and therapy services, education and training to meet the needs of our patients.  The successful canddiate will get the opportunity to learn and grow in their practice by being exposed to burns, orthopaedic, acute care and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a systematic patient examination and evaluation for qualified referrals.
  • Designs and implements a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing evidence based practice, for patients of diverse ages and diagnoses based upon their assessment.
  • Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, their families, care management and community resources.
  • Supports risk management and compliance through accurate, thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Education

MOT or DPT preferred 

Certification/Licensure

licensed in state of Texas

Skills

1 year occupational therapy experience preferred

New graduates considered

Pediatric experience preferred

 

Compensation is based upon years of relevant experience and department equity, but ranges from $39.92 - $59.87 per hour.
