Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Sr. Maintenance Technician to join our team. 

Job Overview

The Sr. Maintenance Technician works as part of the team to support the ongoing building maintenance program.  In this position, you'll perform maintenance inspections and repairs as needed including facility lighting, routine painting, plumbing, electrical and other related maintenance activities.  In addition, you'll utilize your knowledge and skills to perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency situations in the hospital facility.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical repairs to include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
  • Performs preventative maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Ensures proper safety education and demonstrates knowledge of facility safety policies.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED preferred

 

Experience

3 years’ related work experience preferred

5 years HVAC systems and controls experience required

5 years plumbing experience required

5 years electrical experience required

 

Other

Strong teamwork skills required
