Job Overview

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time / night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.  Hours: Full-time, night shift position to work 72 hours bi-weekly.  Will work 12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, plus on-call and every third weekend. 

 

Responsibilities

  • The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. 
  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. 
  • This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSN degree or in process
  • Ohio RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

  • 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
  • Pediatric and ICU experience
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
