Job Overview

We currently have an opening for a per diem Radiology Technologist to join our Portland, OR team. Radiologic technologists are medical personnel who perform imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a professional manner.

 

Schedule: Per Diem

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competent technical skills in the use of imaging equipment, quality control and troubleshooting.
• Consistently demonstrates standards of leadership.  Collaborates and communicates with department leader.  Assumes the responsibility of lead in the leaders absence.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate contact.
• Participates in management of staff resources including scheduling, orientation, competency and education.
• Assesses orders for accuracy and clarifies with provider prior to imaging, if necessary (correct patient, correct CPT code, correct body part, correct side, correct views).
• Observes established policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 years Pediatric and/or Orthopedic 
  • Radiologic Technologist license in state of practice as required by state only
  • Certificate Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) Required
  • Fluoroscopy as required by state only

Preferred

  • 1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology
