Job Summary:


Shriners Hospitals for Children - Portland is seeking a Full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join our dynamic and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities included evaluating and treating patients with:
• Communication delays and assist with recommendations and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
• Feeding and swallowing disorders
• Cleft lip and palate
• Deficits in articulation and early language acquisition

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Master Degree in Speech Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Current Oregon Speech Therapy license is required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
  • Experience in pediatrics and augmentative communication is required
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
  • 1 year experience in pediatric specialty hospital setting or clinical internship at any Shriners facility
