Job Overview

The CRM Junior Developer will work in a team environment to support Shriners Hospitals for Children’s existing and future application systems, with a focus on Blackbaud CRM.  The CRM Junior Developer will work closely with team members to support both Headquarters and Hospital personnel on data pull requests, data transformation, and minor CRM customizations.  In addition, the Junior Developer will work closely with the BBCRM developer on customary Technical Lead duties, which will include mentoring other team members and providing technical guidance, helping to establish best practices and policies relating to software development Code reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting all aspects of BBCRM including, but not limited to, Constituent, Prospect, and Revenue issues.  Will build and maintain advanced ad-hoc and smart queries as per end users’ requests.  Manage support queue to maintain a high level of end-user satisfaction.  Responsible for testing all features, customizations, and business processes after an upgrade or Service Pack release of BBCRM.  Will update the Address Accelerator on a bi-monthly basis to maintain address validation accuracy in the database.  Required to communicate and work with Blackbaud technical support team to resolve more complicated system issues.  Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.
  • Work within Import Omatic, daily, to import Online, Direct Mail, and generic transaction files.  Upload and download files via SFTP software to/from 3rd party vendors.  Continually work with all donor relation teams to facilitate changes and improvements they may need in the import processes.  Participate in planning meetings with vendors to explain the needs of the users and what needs to be updated.  Ensure that import processes maintain data integrity.  Develop and utilize Zuri Velocity to import and transform data to meet SHC standards.
  • Build SQL queries and scripts to clean up dirty data.  Using CRM developer mode, create and maintain customized data forms, pages and functional areas.  Build and update reports as requested by staff.  Work with 3rd Party vendors to understand what changes are being made to the database for each system enhancement customization.
  • Create and maintain an advanced user training program focused on query building and customization usage.  Training will be in-person and/or remotely via Teams.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 3 years of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database management experience
  • 3 years of Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent years of development experience in lieu of degree

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Shriners Children's donor relations process
