Job Overview

The Intake Coordinator position is primarily responsible for processing and tracking new patient referrals, schedules and monitors new patient internal referrals, clinic appointments and changes, and communicates with families and Shrine Centers regarding status. Triages patient/provider referrals by assessing urgency. Checks in/out patients during clinic.  The Intake Coordinator is also responsible for rescheduling patients assigned and calling no shows and monitoring order queue for assigned providers.

Responsibilities

  • Processes new patient referrals.  Triages referrals by assessing need for urgent care.
  • Communicates with patients families via phone and written notification regarding appointments, denials, requests for additional information
  • Communicates appointment date and time of scheduled visit to the patient's family

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma required

 

Experience

2 years administrative experience in a pediatric medical setting preferred
