Job Overview

The Manager of Philanthropy Services and Programs is a versatile team player who focuses on special philanthropy programs, strategic philanthropy activations, and philanthropy events. This position is integral to the planning and on-site implementation of special programs and philanthropy activations at various locales. The position requires a meticulous planner who is creative with high energy and loves to interact with people. The position has close contact with organizational leaders, major donors, and other supporters and requires acumen and diplomacy. A calm manner in stressful event situations and meeting challenges with a positive, can-do attitude is appreciated in the selected candidate.


The ability to travel with minimal notice and attend evening and weekend meetings and events is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Woman Impacting Care/First Lady program including program planning, strategy implementation and timeline, revenue and expenses, external vendors, and product inventory and distribution.
  • Manage point-of-sale platforms and coordinate with internal departments for landing page creation and maintenance, social posts, and digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Philanthropy Services and other internal departments to design program themes, products, collateral, and distribution strategies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the program and liaison with staff, leadership, volunteers, and consumers.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events or events with a fundraising component with collateral materials, donor registration and communication management, volunteer coordination, and event‐day logistics.
  • Liaison and coordinate with leadership regarding Office of Philanthropy events including their presence and participation.
  • Participate in external and internal event-related meetings with staff regarding event responsibilities and follow‐up.
  • Maintain exemplary relationships with other internal departments and vendor partners.
  • Foster meaningful connections among donors, corporate supporters, and other key constituents with events and other national, regional, and local activations. Coordinate activations as directed including planning, timeline, revenue and expenses, external vendors, and collateral.
  • Coordinate with the Strategic Partners team to develop tools and resources to significantly enhance team effectiveness.
  • Liaison and support other internal offices that are also involved with national, regional or local events or Strategic Partner initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible program management experience with a nonprofit or a for-profit entity
  • Demonstrated experience in working with individual leadership donors and corporate donors
  • Experience with program planning and implementation
  • Experience building relationships with organizational executives and governing board members
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience


Preferred:

  • Experience with a customized relational database/CRM
