Job Overview

The MAC PT provides evaluation and motion analysis center services, including direct patient care, patient/family and education in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon a referral from a licensed independent practitioner.

 

This position is full-time and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $55.71 - $78.65/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design an individualized treatment plan to meet the needs of the pediatric patient and their family.
  • Conducts interdisciplinary team meetings to review MAC findings, interpretations and recommendations.
  • Mentors and educates to residents, students and other professionals.
  • Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research.
  • Maintains current knowledge in changes related to the scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.
  • Works in collaboration with the SMAC PT and local leaders, to provide exceptional care following the Shriners Hospitals for Children® FOCUSED©™ Program. This program is a system-wide model for professional practice that emphasizes patient-centered care and always prioritizes the needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • CA Physical Therapist licensure 
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of Motion Lab experience
  • Pediatric experience
  • MS/DPT
