Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for an on-call Sterile Processing Tech to join our team.

Environment

• Maintains clean environment in sterile processing department by wearing appropriate clothing, hair and face covering, and cover coats, and removing/changing aprons, masks, etc., as necessary.

Documentation, Assembly & Sterilization of Instrument Trays and Equipment

• Safely cleans, packages, assembles, sterilizes instruments and trays using aseptic technique.

Equipment Operation

• Correctly operates, monitors, and documents all cleaning and sterilizing equipment in CS and OR area according to equipment manufacturer's.

Inventory Maintenance

Maintains appropriate CS and Surgery inventory by routinely counting, ordering, and restocking par level supplies.

OR Support

• Responds immediately to all requests from Surgery for different or additional items.

High School diploma or GED required

Certification/Licensure

CSPDT or equivalent certification required
