Shriners Children's Philadelphia has an opening for a full-time Patient Access Representative to join our team.
The Patient Access Representative is the first person that our patients and caregivers will have the opportunity to interact. this position provides support to our patients as they are experiencing a life changing event. The support is accomplished by working with the caregiver to schedule appointments, perform pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients, and providing patients with information regarding access to additional external financial resources. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support our patients with issues dealing with scheduling and questions for the provider(s). In addition, you will maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies by obtaining various consents.
The Patient Access Representative will also provide some Financial Counselor duties in this role. This would entail being responsible for providing patients with a positive financial experience by helping patients navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability. Assess the current financial situation of patients through the verification of patient insurance benefits; serving as the technical expert in confirming patients benefit coverage. Gather all relevant information required to process financial assistance requests; including but not limited to: complete Means Test, manage Epic Financial Counseling workqueue, and work the Primary Uninsured worklist.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
1 year experience in scheduling and registration preferred
