Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our amazing team as a Laundry Technician at Shriners Children's Greenville.  The Laundry Technician is responsible for doing various jobs in the laundry and must be able to operate the dryers, flat ironer, and uniform press. The Technician collects soil linen from linen using areas. Shakes out and weighs soil linen for filling the washers while following Standard Precaution procedures. must know laundry classifications. The Technician loads dryers and sets timer to correct drying time, unloads linen and folds to load clean linen carts. Keeps linen using areas inventory to the correct predetermines level as determine by usage studies. Cleans equipment and laundry at end of day. Maintains production records, and maintains children clothing needs.

Responsibilities

 Follows standard precautions in gathering and processing soil linen.


• Operates washers, dryers and other laundry equipment according to procedures.
• Neatly folds and sorts clean linen and clothing.
• Loads clean linen card according to standard, and distributes linen to floor/department as scheduled.
• Presses/irons lab coats, barrier gowns and children clothing in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education:

 

High School Diploma or GED preferred

 

Experience:
