Job Overview

We currently have an opening for a full-time evening shift Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeper) to join our Portland, OR team. Must have basic knowledge of good housekeeping and laundry practices. Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others and communicate appropriately with other departments. Capable of evaluating the quality of the services that we provide. Necessary to follow Universal Precautions, Infection Control and Safety guidelines.

 

Schedule: Full-time Evenings

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates ability to clean and damp dust vents and high surface areas, clean and disinfect floors, walls and horizontal surfaces according to assigned schedule.  Maintains daily cleanliness of dressing/bathrooms and lounge.  Soiled linen is collected in closed bags and transported to laundry.  Trash for disposal is transported in covered containers.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of operating room preparation and clean up.  Turnovers are timely.  Demonstrates knowledge of handling both regular and Biohazard trash and containers.
  • Demonstrates interest in maintaining clean, surgical environment.  Uses time efficiently.
  • Uses floor scrubber and cleaning solutions as per training.  Maintains equipment and safety.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED, preferred

Experience

  • 1 Year Environmental Services, preferred
  • 1 Year Biohazard, preferred
