Job Overview

The Patient Care Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, performing duties as assigned, with patient care delivered in a safe manner.  Nursing Assistant that is able to function in a role that is accountable for providing comprehensive, family-centered care to patients and families in the Inpatient Department.

 

Schedule: Evenings .9 FTE

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: Pay range for this position is $16.92/hr - $25.38/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ward order to provide a clean, presentable, and safe environment.
  • Provides accurate, complete, and legal information in the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Ambulate and perform usual activities of daily living without assistance.
  • Utilization of skills and knowledge in accordance with hospital policies and procedures to perform tasks necessary for optimal patient care.
  • Assemble, apply and monitor orthotic devices, and traction, facilitating safe and timely acclimatization.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma / GED

 

Certification/Licensure

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), required

 

Experience

One year of pediatric experience preferred
