Job Overview

We currently have an opening for a Full Time  Appointment Coordinator to join our team.  This position will be responsible for accurately scheduling appointments and entering data into computerized appointment system, answer phones and direct calls as needed.  Schedulers will have the basic scheduling competencies to follow established Best Practices and be able to perform specific duties to an assigned area.  Appointment scheduling, computer skills, and medical terminology required.  

 

Schedule: Full-time  Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 PM (FTE 1.0)

 

 

 

(Pay range for this position is $16.92-25.38/hr DOE. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education)

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and rescheduling, creating ad-hoc appointments, check-in & check-out and changing appointment status.
  • Registration, updating, quick/trauma admit, discharge and downtime conversion.
  • Updating and viewing.
  • Appointments, searching, utilizing different queues, confirmed, hold, no show, and request list inquiry.
  • Utilizing Power Chart for additional information when needed, orders matrix & patient scheduled tab.
  • Cross trained to ensure relief for other scheduling positions as assigned.
  • Receives, assesses and routes telephone calls.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED 

Experience

  • 1 Year Scheduling, registration and insurance verification preferred
  • Basic clerical skills, required
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry are needed.

Certification and Licensures

  • Basic Life Support(BLS)
