Job Overview

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for a Per Diem/On-Call Cook to join our nutrition team.  This person must have weekend availability.  

 

This position is per diem/on-call, non-exempt and benefits eligible.  The pay range for this position is $19.71/hour - $24.64/hour.  Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

Shriners Children's Hawaii's Cook provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.

 

  • Practices Serve Safe Sanitation at all times
  • Prepares Catering Functions and consistently maintains qualityof food
  • Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time
  • Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • The temp of our food is at acceptable level according to or policy and procedure manual
  • Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu
  • Cafeteria meals are done on time.  Ensure there is sufficient backup so that the café does not run out of food.

Certification and Licensures
ServSafe Food Safety Certificate Required
