We are a premier pediatric specialty, research, and academic teaching hospital with a medical and research partnership with Massachusetts General Brigham. It is the world’s leading center for pediatric burn care and is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in New England and New York.

The Boston Shriners Hospital is one of four pediatric burn specialty hospitals in Shriners Children’s health system and provide comprehensive care for cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial anomalies, with a multidisciplinary care team.

 

Job Overview

The Radiologic Technologist (RT ) is responsible for all duties related to Image Capture, Image Management, Image Storage and Image Reporting: All duties are performed in accordance with the organizational vision and mission. The Radiologic Technologist maintains compliance with local, state, federal laws and all pertinent accrediting agencies.

 

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Radiographic Procedures and Dexa scans according to policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
  • Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
  • Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
  • Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
  • Actively participates in all aspects of the PI program. 
  • Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
  • Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.

Qualifications

Certification and Experience

Certificate Radiologic Technology Required

2 Years Pediatric Orthopedics Preferred

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Required

Radiology Technologist license in state of practice
