Job Overview

The HR Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for writing, curating, and synthesizing content into easy-to-understand and meaningful learning experiences for Shriners Children's. As an expert trainer and facilitator, the Specialist will also be responsible for delivering content via multiple modalities. The subject matter ranges from technical skills training to soft skills training to HR technology, with a heavy influence on onboarding and orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Define training and learner objectives to meet specific business goals.
  • Design and develop learning solutions and programs that best fit the needs of the learner in all formats including online/self-paced, virtual instructor-led, in-person instructor-led, and blended learning.
  • Adjust as needed per continuous improvement expectations and Shriners Children’s culture.
  • Create delivery and deployment programs to ensure learning transfer is successful.
  • Document results via survey creation/execution and reporting to ensure business goals are met; identify, plan and implement continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 or more years of experience supporting a training/learning organization; or any combination of education and/or experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Communication, Marketing, or other related field

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Training/Education
