Job Overview

Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, is looking for a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant to become part of our Orthopedic team and work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, and provide care for orthopaedic patients within scope of practice. 

 

This position is per diem, non exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $78.33 to $110.59/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include attending general and specialty orthopaedic clinics, assess and treat outpatients (including scheduled patients and those with urgent problems), perform pre-operative history and physical exams; provide case management support for selected patients, and may provide support for clinical research projects. Schedules for this position vary and may require occasional early start.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner:

Masters of Science in Nursing - Required

Orthopedics experience - Required

RN license in state of CA - Required

Eligibility for CA certification as a nurse practitioner

PALS - Required

CPR - Required

COVID vaccination with booster - Required

Pediatrics experience - Preferred

 

 

 

Physicians Assistant:

Physicians Assistant license in State of CA - Required

PALS - Required

CPR - Required

COVID vaccination with booster - Required

Pediatrics experience - Preferred

 

 

Preferred:

Completion of CME accredited course on laser techniques and procedures

Bilingual in Spanish
