Job Overview

To maintain building operations via BAS (Building Automation System) and repair boiler equipment, steam systems, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems, according to established procedures, codes, and regulatory guidelines. Performs a variety of repairs utilizing various hand and power tools on trouble call work orders, corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, biomedical maintenance, data runs, and maintenance of interior and exterior surfaces of the building including minor carpentry, painting, locksmithing, using proper personal protective equipment.

 

This position is part-time, varied shift, non-exempt and benefits eligible. Must be available to work weekends. The pay range for this position is $49.11 - $69.34/hour. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintains and repairs boilers, chillers, heat pumps, electrical, plumbing, gas, generator, fire pump, steam, DDC, and pneumatic systems.
  • Repairs portable and stationary machinery and appliances.
  • Uses hand and power tools, including cutting and threading tools, grinders, reamers, wrenches, welders, saws, and other special tools.
  • Makes carpentry repairs to doors, windows, floors and other parts of buildings.
  • Painting as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Universal CFC license
  • 2 years maintenance/engineering experience in a hospital setting
  • Expereince with electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, DDC, pneumatics
