Job Overview

This Administrative Assistant position would perform a variety of administrative functions for the physicians and the Department – including, but not limited to calendaring and occasional transcription; answering telephones for various offices, scheduling meetings, appointments and conference calls, filing copying, preparing materials for meetings, distributes mail accordingly, keeps all Burn and Plastic physicians’ licensure current, works closely with UC Davis Department of Surgery administrative staff, coordinates very detailed travel arrangements, and prepares On-Call schedules.

 

This position is full-time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $32.43 - $45.78/hour. Compensation is based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of general clerical and administrative functions and special projects for the department as directed to ensure the smooth and timely flow of work within the departmental office.
  • Maintains departmental files and record keeping systems, ensuring retrievability of information.
  • Performs a variety of administrative and project support functions for the physicians/department.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma required 

 

Skills and Experience

3-5 years administrative experience

Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite of products
