Shriners Children’s Chicago offers specialized care for a wide range of pediatric orthopedic, bone and joint conditions, including rare diseases and syndromes. Other specialties include spine and scoliosis care, plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate care, comprehensive rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries.

Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Sr. Environmental Services Tech. Under the guidance of the Director of Environmental Services, this position will perform duties related to preventive and corrective cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and sanitized environment in accordance with hospital standard cleaning procedures. Cleaning responsibilities include sweeping, damp mopping and waxing floors, vacuuming rugs and carpets, upholstery and draperies, dusting furniture, washing walls, ceilings, air vents, woodwork, blinds, windows, door panels and base boards, disinfecting horizontal, vertical, equipment, and high touch areas. This position is an important part of our team because you will keep the patient's room clean so the patient and family can focus on healing.
The pay range for this position is $19.92/hour - $24.89/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

High School diploma or GED required
Experience
At least 3 years of EVS experience required
At least 3 years of experience working in a lead/management/supervisory role required
Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
