Help create a brighter, stronger future for the children we serve at Shriners Children’s Southern California (SCSC). We are a family-centered, pediatric subspecialty Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Pasadena, providing complex care for children with orthopedic conditions.

Job Overview

The Rehabilitation Services Manager will coordinate, supervise, and monitor the daily activities of assigned staff and department operations; treatment services for inpatients and outpatients in a pediatric specialty hospital providing orthopedic, burns and rehabilitation care; to function  as a resource to staff and the general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility.

 

 

This position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $100,672.00/year - $151,008.00/year. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Performs a variety of functions related to the management of department personnel in compliance with organizational and human resources policies and procedures. 
  • Interview, hires, and recommends termination of employees in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures and in consultation with the Director. 
  • Communicates job duties to staff in a clear, understandable, and concise manner. 
  • Plans, directs and supervises work of assigned staff utilizing positive communications and effective problem solving skills. Provides consistent input on performance in consultation with the Director. 
  • Consult in a timely manner with Director regarding staff performance, problems or concerns which may affect efficient and effective department operations, and hospital-wide issues which may have a direct or indirect effect on department morale. 
  • Perform a variety of administrative functions to coordinate, supervise and monitor department operations.  
  • Performs a variety or activities/services related to direct care and treatment of patients within the scope of practice of a registered therapist.
  • Demonstrates the ability to professionally interact and communicate with staff, patients, families, and visitors.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates requires knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems, strong leadership, written/verbal communication, decision-making and collaboration skills, a background managing cost and productivity and knowledge of government and regulatory guidelines. 

 

Required:

  • 5 years related experience in management, responsibility in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical rehabilitation setting.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Graduate of an accredited school.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy
