Are you looking for a new opprtunity with a great mission based healthcare organization?  We have an opportunity for a full-time (.9 FTE) PACU Pediatric RN.  In this crucial role, you will use your skills to support our mission for providing stellar healthcare services for our pediatric orthopedic patients.  You will be supported by a simply amazing team of dedicated health professionals here at Shriners Children's Greenville.

Responsibilities

  • The PACU Pediatric RN (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
  • The RN will function within the Shriners Hospitals for Children Professional Practice Model (FOCUSED), which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN.
  • The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
  • The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources.
  • The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects.

Qualifications

Required

RN license in state of practice (SC)

Basic Life Support (BLS) 

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

 

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)

At least 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital 

At least 2 years Critical Care (PACU or ICU) experience 
Pediatric and/or orthopedic experience
