Job Overview

The Operating Room Technician is a vital role for Operating Room efficiency.  The OR Technician is responsible for ensuring that surgeries run smoothly by overseeing essential aspects such as inventory, surgical tools, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support through preparing correspondence, maintaining databases and templates.  
  • Oversees inventory management through maintaining office supply inventory, overseeing surgical equipment and inventory by maintaining inventory and par levels
  • Provides surgical support by maintaining charge master for surgical services
  • Coordinates surgical supply chain, performs PAR levels, orders supplies
  • Assists in pulling surgical cases
  • Contacts vendors and corresponds with third parties
  • Assists with cleaning and decontaminating the OR before and between cases
  • Participates in monthly outdated checks throughout the surgical services department

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications 

Preferred:

  • Associate in Surgical Technology preferred
  • 1 year Healthcare setting experience preferred
