Job Overview

The Donations Specialist/ Fiscal will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Finance department.  High level of clerical, accounting and bookkeeping duties.  Will work closely with budgets, month-end process and cash reconciliations.  Special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, spreadsheets and reports as needed
  • Order and manage office supplies and assist with department-related procurement needs
  • Support month-end closing processes by organizing documents and assisting with reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts payable processing, including coding expenses and preparing payments
  • Manage external invoicing (Accounts Receivable) of meals, transportation and other A/R
  • Preform daily deposits utilizing bank scanning software and a web banking portal
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts
  • Maintain, reconcile and dispense petty cash
  • Work closely with outside affiliates for proper patient billing reconciliation and payment
  • Knowledge of general office practices and clerical office work with the ability to use standard office equipment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance department, accounts payable or related role 
  • Familiar with basic accounting principles and financial systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Experience with automated accounting software (e.g. Workday) preferred
