Job Overview

We currently have an opening for a full-time Wheelchair/Seating Tech to join our Salt Lake City, UT team. The Wheelchair Tech fabricates, adjusts, repairs and transfers wheelchair and seating devices as outlined by the clinician, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, machines and materials. Transports equipment and maintains shop area and offsite storage/van.

 

Schedule: Full-time M-F (in-person) FTE 1.0

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

 

Responsibilities

  •  Under supervision, develops the skills necessary to correctly repair or make adjustments to wheelchair and seating devices according to verbal and/or written instructions, sketches or diagrams.
  •  Assists clinician with patients as need arises. Is courteous & professional with patients, families and staff.
  • Maintains a safe, clutter free work area.
  • Demonstrates correct/consistent use of safety devices appropriate to each job task, including a safety "check-out" by the Orthotic Lead Technician.
  •  Performs assigned clean-up tasks during assigned dept. clean-up. Assists others w/duties if time permits.

Qualifications

Required

  • CPR certification (or ability to complete within 3 months of hire)

 

Preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience in fabricating seating devices/purchasing supply chain in healthcare setting/seating & mobility technology
