Job Overview

We currently have a full-time opportunity available for a Patient Access Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Patient Access department. 

 

The pay range for this position is $94,515.00 - $141,752.00/year. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and department equity. 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the patient access department to ensure efficient and accurate patient scheduling, registration, and admissions
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
  • Training and supporting staff in their daily duties and promoting continuous professional development
  • Resolving any patient complaints or issues related to their access to healthcare services
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintaining accurate and timely patient demographics and records
  • Monitoring and analyzing patient access key performance indicators and implementing improvement plans when needed
  • Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Participating in budgeting and financial management, such as setting patient access department goals and objectives

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years management/supervisory accounting experience
  • The ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other hospital leaders, clinicians and departments
  • Ability to organize assignments and establish appropriate work priorities
  • Excellent computer skills

 

Preferred:

  • Progressive management or lead experience in a Patient Access department
  • Epic experience
